When GZQ dry process heavy medium separator is separating, the separating speed of materials in the separator is fast and the separating process is stable, which can effectively reduce the damage rate of lump coal. Moreover, the density adjustment range of gas-solid two-phase medium is wide, which can be arbitrarily adjusted between 1.3-2.2g/cm3, which greatly improves the scope of application. It can discharge reject with low density and high density. The medium consumption of the separator is lower than 0.4kg/t, which is suitable for the separation of 100-6mm particle size coal (the lower separation limit can be reduced to 3mm when the moisture is low).
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Separation principle: fine solid materials with heavy medium forms gas-solid two-phase flow with fluid characteristics under the action of updraft after air distribution. The feeding materials are stratified in the gas-solid two-phase flow bed according to the density. Materials with small density float up, and materials with higher density sink down. The light and heavy products after stratification are discharged through the coal wheel and scraper conveying mechanism.
KEY INNOVATIONS
● The assembly type wear-resistant and anti blocking air distribution technology has been developed, and the time spent on disassembling and replacing the air distribution device has been reduced by 90%.
● The weighted mass internal circulation technology was invented, which reduced the circulation amount of media outside the separator by more than 80%, greatly reduced the power consumption cost of equipment operation, and improved the stability of the bed.
● Developed the wide size grading technology of binary weighted material, which broadened the dominant size grading of weighted material by 25 times, effectively reducing the preparation cost of weighted material.
● An independent double drive discharging mode is proposed. The discharging speed is adjusted independently according to the nature of raw coal and the amount of products, and the processing capacity per unit area is increased by 70%.
● The density steady state control scheme of dry process dense medium fluidized bed is designed, based on the feedforward of raw coal properties - product quality feedback - independent decision-making control closed-loop matching, to achieve accurate control of separation density.

FIELD APPLICATION OF DRY HEAVY MEDIUM SEPARATOR
In order to obtain low ash clean coal, Shenhua Xinjiang Energy Co., Ltd. has established a modular dry process dense medium fluidized bed coal preparation plant to separate and process 50~10mm raw coal of Shenhua Tiandian Mining Co., Ltd. (i.e. Kuangou Mine). The processing capacity of the selected raw coal is 50t/h, and ultra-low ash coal with ash content less than 3.5% is obtained, which solves the coal demand of Shenxin Energy Co., Ltd.'s activated carbon branch.
The main technical indicators of the modular dry process dense medium fluidized bed coal preparation system have reached the international leading level, providing an effective way for the separation and upgrading of the dry and water deficient areas in the west and the easily argillated coal.
